The
Atlanta Hawks will be playing against the
Chicago Bulls on April 17th in one of the play-in tournament games. The team received today the great news that their All-Star point guard,
Trae Young, has been cleared to resume contact and practice.
Young has been ruled out since February 23rd, when he suffered a torn radial collateral ligament in the fifth finger of his left hand. Trae underwent repair surgery and that's the reason he missed out so many games.
Atlanta was able to retain that 10th spot during this stretch of games playing without one of their main offensive weapons. The entire squad stepped up, which led them to accomplish one of the toughest milestones in this campaign...beating the Boston Celtics twice.
Dejounte Murray was fantastic on both matchups as the hampered Hawks embraced the challenge.
The Hawks are trying to catch the Chicago Bulls for the 9th spot in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta is currently one game behind the Bulls with four games to play. Young's return could very much help the team to continue to win and steal the Bulls' standing. This would allow the Hawks to play that crucial play-in matchup in front of their home crowd.
