Anthony Edwards was fined this Wednesday due to his comments after the game in which the
Minnesota Timberwolves reclaimed the first place in the Western Conference, defeating the
Oklahoma City Thunder. Edwards' called out the refs repeatedly, stating that they were "terrible."
The Wolves won that game with a great performance in the 4th quarter, but according to Edwards, they were playing against eight players the entire game.
What mostly upset Ant-Man was the amount of foul calls in benefit of the Thunder. Especially against
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Shai ended up taking more free-throws than the entire Wolves team.
In Edwards opinion, his team didn't went to the free-throw line as they should have. He was fully aware that the fine was coming and indeed it did. But still, the young player expressed his thoughts about this refs situation.
Wolve's gem added that he doesn't feel like the officials "respect" him as a star. And he's probably right about that. That's a special benefit that comes after some miles walked in the league, and reserved only for the top players.
Anthony Edwards is having an impressive season along with his team, hopefully he keeps focusing on his game, elevating the Wolves to new heights in the upcoming playoffs.
