Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard
Anthony Edwards has
lambasted the referee after his team’s recent match against the Oklahoma City
Thunder.
The Timberwolves went on to clinch the match with a score of
107-101 at the Paycom Center on Sunday, largely because of the fourth quarter
where they ended up registering 34 points, 10 more than the Thunder.
After the match, Edwards criticised the match referee and
stated that it felt like that the Timberwolves were playing against eight
players.
"The refs were bad tonight,” he said while talking to ESPN. “Yeah, they was terrible. We was playing 8-on-5. "The cat got
their tongue tonight, so it's all good. It's not fair, but it's all good.
"Him getting to the line, he do that in his sleep. Yeah,
he's unstoppable. Nobody can guard him. He's good. He's super good. But yeah,
the refs was bad tonight."
Edwards had a good game for the team where he ended up
registering 27 points along with four rebounds and four assists. He was by far
the most influential player on the court for the home team. It was the fourth
consecutive match where the Atlanta-born managed to register more than 20
points for the team.
