We decided to show some love to the league's OGs. This time we're going to dive into the NBA's veterans that are at least 36 years old. From Taj Gibson to the King himself LeBron James, we are going to find out which players are active and closer to turning 40 in the NBA.
A total of 14 players are currently in the league with more than 36 years (the last to join the list was Taj Gibson after getting a 10-day contract with the Knicks). Of course, LeBron James at 39 is by far the best on the roster, although there are other players who are still transcendent.
This is the case of Mike Conley, the engine of a Minnesota Timberwolves team that's lost without him. The veteran point guard has managed to bring order to a team that's having a great regular season.
Jeff Green is playing at a good level for the Rockets after playing a key role in the Nuggets' title last year.
Joe Ingles enjoys quality minutes in a solid Magic squad and Al Horford continues to be a key player for the Boston Celtics (although he is starting to feel the physical decline at 37 years old). Chris Paul debut with the Warriors wasn't bad at all, although he's been injured for some time now. Others, like Kyle Lowry, have just been traded and do not know what their future will be.
