Los Angeles Lakers shocked everyone in the NBA, after beating the league's best Boston Celtics, without LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Austin Reaves was the man for LA, scoring 32 points. 21 of those points camed from seven three pointers, matching the record previously set by no other than Kobe Bryant. Reaves acknowledged the King coments which motivated him to step up.

Reaves' standout performance not only contributed 32 points for the team, but also did so without NBA stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the court.

In the post-game interview, Reaves responded to a question about whether his excellent performance was in response to LeBron James' comments after the loss to the Atlanta Hawks. James, expressing frustration, had urged his teammates to do their jobs, a message that resonated in Reaves' mind.

"I don't have any message for my teammates. Just go out there and do your job," LeBron James had stated. Austin Reaves, agreed on the importance of paying attention to the 20-time NBA All-Star's criticisms.

"It's a great message. Coming from the best player in my opinion, that's what we should do. Tonight we showed that we listened and we're ready to roll," Reaves said.

With this crucial victory, the Los Angeles Lakers raised their record to 25-25 on the season, placing them in ninth place in the Western Conference, just two games behind the Dallas Mavericks. The next challenge on their schedule will be to face the New York Knicks, whom they will visit on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

Prior to the showdown with the Boston Celtics, Austin Reaves had pointed out the need to address communication issues in the team. He stressed the importance of addressing the areas that need improvement in order to elevate collective performance.

"In any situation in life, you address what you don't like and what can make you better as a person, as a team," Reaves expressed. The third-year player is making his mark on the season averaging 15.2 points, 5.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers per game through the first 49 games.
