American sports radio presenter Chris Russo believes that the
Denver Nuggets star
Nikola Jokic might end up becoming the greatest centre in
the history of the NBA.
The 29-year-old is often regarded as one of the best players
currently playing in the competition alongside the likes of Dallas Mavericks’
Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Giannis
Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Russo was recently quoted in a report where he was full of
praise for Jokic, who according to him, has all the characteristics to become
the best center to ever play in the NBA, even better than the Los Angeles
Lakers’ legendary
Shaquille O'Neal.
“Jokic might be, might be, at the end of the day, the
greatest centre in the history of the NBA,” he said. “He’s that good. He’s
better than Shaq. I’ll tell you that right now. Better than Shaq."
Jokic is having a fabulous season where he is contributing
26 points per game which is the best by any Nuggets player. That’s not it as he
is also contributing 12.3 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game, which remains the fourth-best
in the competition.
Jokic’s best outing this season came in the match against the
San Antonio Spurs where he registered 39 points to go with 11 rebounds and nine
assists.
