Former General Manager (GM) of the
Golden State Warriors Bob
Myers was left all emotional by the tribute he received at the Chase Center.
The 48-year-old returned to the arena and was paid a tribute
by the franchise where his daughter also made a speech for him. In a video that appeared on the social media platform X — previously
known as Twitter — the tribute left Myers all emotional.
Myers led the Warriors’ most successful reign where the
franchise ended up winning four championships — in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022.
He left the franchise at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
Warriors manager
Steve Kerr was quoted afterwards where he
stated that he was happy for Myers who lives in his neighborhood.
"I'm so happy for him," said Kerr. "He's
living such an interesting existence. I've seen him in the neighborhood because
we're neighbors ... I'll be walking my dog and we run into each other."
Warriors are going through a rather difficult campaign where
they are placed in the ninth position in the Western Conference with just 33
wins and 28 defeats this season.
In their most recent outing, the Warriors defeated an in-form Milwaukee
Bucks with a score of 125-90 at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Wednesday.
