Fans on the social media reacted in an interesting manner as the Los Angeles Lakers secured an unlikely win against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Lakers came into the match after suffering two defeats in the last four matches. On the other hand, the Thunder were flying high as they won seven out of their last eight matches.

However, the Lakers side, full of experience, showed their class and defeated a rather young-looking Thunder side with a score of 116-104 at the crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Monday.

Lakers fans on social media were ecstatic and one of them even expressed the wish that his team would face Thunder in the playoffs as they will have a greater chance of beating them in the contest. “Bring the thunder in the playoffs.. lakers in 4,” he wrote.

The win was an important one for the Lakers, especially after the Golden State Warriors suffered a thumping defeat in their last outing against the Boston Celtics, as it pushed them to the ninth spot in the Western Conference with 34 wins and 29 defeats this season.
