Buyout Market: According to reports, the veteran point guard, Kyle Lowry is going to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers after being waived by the Charlotte Hornets.
The buyout market is getting very interesting as teams looking to make a deep run in the upcoming playoffs are willing to sign experienced players that can bring depth to their lineups. This is the case for the 2019 NBA Champion Kyle Lowry, who seems to have found a new home in the city of broderly love.
Kyle Lowry was waived by the Charlotte Hornets after being traded there, in an exchange that landed Terry Rozier in Miami.
Lowry agreed with the Hornets that he wasn't going to report with the team, reaching a buyout agreement with Charlotte's front office. Kyle will most likely be playing in his hometown, since he was born in Philly, 37 years ago.
Philadelphia has been a desired destination to Lowry from long ago, since he grew up there and played basketball for Villanova Universitiy. Another particular detail is that Lowry will be reuniting with his former coach during that championship run in Toronto, Nick Nurse.
The Sixers will benefit from having a veteran like lowry, who knows exaclty what it takes to succeed in the playoffs, provinding calm and experience in the clutch moments.
