Chicago Bulls’ star
Zach LaVine has suffered another injury scare
during the match against
Toronto Raptors on Thursday.
The 28-year-old, who has recently returned to the court,
lasted just six games before suffering another injury scare.
LaVine only ended up playing 24 minutes during Thursday’s
clash as he ended up landing on the foot of Jontay Porter in the third quarter.
Following the incident, the Washington-born ended up withdrawing himself from
the match and as per a report from Chicago Tribune reporter Julia Poe, he was
devastated in the dressing room.
Despite his absence, Bulls went on to win the clash with a
score of 116-110, largely because of the first quarter where they had a lead of
11 points.
The star performers for the home team were DeMar DeRozan and
Nikola Vucevic as both ended up registering 24 points each. Vucevic, however,
had more impact as he registered 14 rebounds and seven assists as well.
LaVine finished the contest with just eight points to his
name with the help of two assists and two rebounds. He is averaging 19.5 points
and 5.2 rebounds per game this season.
LaVine’s best outing in a match this term came against Raptors
in November last year where he ended up registering 36 points including four
rebounds and three assists.
