New York Knicks coach
Tom Thibodeau has stated that the
primary reason behind star player
OG Anunoby is the limited options available
at his disposal.
The 26-year-old has played 86 minutes back-to-back in the
last couple of matches. Thibodeau was questioned by the media in a recent press
conference where he stated that his decisions are taken considering whatever resources
he has at his disposal.
“Sometimes that’s what you called for so you do what you
think is called for,” he said. “In the end, the minutes will be the minutes are.
Right now, we’ve got to find our way as
we’re adjusting. So, find a way to win & then build our rhythm.
“Concentrate on our improvement take some time. That’s where
we are. Just go day by day & some
guys are playing big minutes (because) we’re shorthanded and that’s what
happens.”
Nick, in their recent outing, managed to defeat Washington
Wizards on their home court with a score of 113-109. The star of the show for
the winning team was Jalen Brunson who ended up producing 41 points including
eight rebounds and eight assists.
Anunoby had a decent
day at the office as he ended up registering 19 points for the visitors including
seven rebounds and one assist.
