Washington Wizards have completed the signing of the young
Italian centre
Tristan Vukcevic. The 21-year-old joined the franchise when they
were all but certain to finish the competition out of the playoff spot.
As per the latest report, the player has been signed for 16
remaining matches where he will earn $2,424,892.
The contract for the 2024-25 season is dependent on the
franchise and if it is activated, the player will earn an additional $2,424,892
the next season.
The Wizards are having a poor season as they are placed at
the bottom of the table in the Eastern Conference, having won just 11 matches
and suffering 55 defeats in the process. They have won just two out of their
last 18 matches.
In the most recent outing, the Wizards ended up on the
losing side against the Houston Rockets with a score of 135-119 at the Toyota
Center in Houston on Thursday.
The star of the show for the winning team on the night was
shooting guard Jalen Green who ended up registering 37 points to go with eight
rebounds and two assists.
For the Wizards, the standout performer was shooting guard
Jordan Poole who registered 25 points to go with one rebound and two assists.
