The
Dallas Mavericks hosted the
Golden State Warriors at American Airlines Center and snapped their 6-game winning streak as they won 108-106 thanks to a game-winner by PJ Washington.
The Mavs were without Luka Doncic, so the former Hornet stepped up with an amazing game as he scored a game-high 32 points with 5 threes, including a game-winning layup with 4 seconds remaining. Washington also made an impact on the defensive end as he had 5 steals and 2 blocks.
Kyrie Irving finished with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Daniel Gafford had 10 points, 15 boards, and 3 blocks while Dante Exum had 11 points and 7 assists. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 13 points off the bench.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 28 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 threes. Klay Thompson had 16 points with 3 steals and Draymond Green recorded 8 points with 8 boards. Gary Payton II and Moses Moody each finished with 14 points off the bench.
Dallas improves to 47-30 with this win and remains the 5th seed in the West. They sit 1.5 games behind the Clippers for the 4th seed so this was a huge victory for them without Luka Doncic. The Mavs are on fire, going 9-1 over their last 10 games and will look to keep it up on Sunday against the Rockets.
Golden State drops to 42-35 with this loss and remains the 10th seed. This was a tough loss for the Warriors as they were rolling recently. However, it looks like they secured the last play-in spot and will aim to make the playoffs. They will face off against the Jazz on Sunday.
