The versatile italian player,
Danilo Gallinari, has everything settled to become a new member of the
Milwaukee Bucks.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Gallinari's agent, Michael Teller has confirmed this signing. The italian player is a 14-year NBA veteran, who can provide his valuable skills to a contender team such as the Milwaukee Bucks.
Danilo is 35 years-old and his last NBA experience was with the
Detroit Pistons, where he was traded from the
Washington Wizards. He played only 6 games there after what the Pistons decided to cut him. Throughout this 2023-2024 season, "Gallo" is averaging 7.3 points and 2.8 rebouds, while shooting 35% from three-point territory in 32 games played.
Gallinari is a complete offensive weapon, able to play as a shooting guard or as a forward as well, given his big frame. While the last couple of seasons he's been sort of a "journeyman", truth is that Boston took interest in him and signed a 2 year contract for the 2022-2023 campaign. Unfortunately, the italian injured his ACL and missed the entire year.
His agent informed that several teams wanted to bring Gallinari on board, but in the end, it was the italian player who decided to go to the Bucks to play a role on
Doc Rivers' frontman rotation.
Milwaukee has made a couple of good moves, first bringing Pat Beverley on board and now Gallinari, the Bucks are ensambling a deep team with the chance of forming several different line-ups in order to what they need. For Gallinari it's a great chance to be a part of a contender team and provide his experience and try to get an NBA ring.
