The combo guard, Delon Wright, has agreed with his former team, the Washington Wizards, to a contract buyout and therefore, he'll be taking his talents elsewhere. The Miami Heat has everything settled with the player to become a new member of the team.
In line with ESPN's insider, Adrian Wojnarowski, the 31-year-old player plans to join forces with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, as soon as the waive is cleared. It was Delon's agent, Greg Lawrence, who clarified all this information directly with the network.
Miami will be receiving a solid veteran who can bring pace and calm from the bench, and in a way do part of the job that was left open when Kyle Lowry was traded to the Charlotte Hornets.
Wright has had his up and downs the last couple of seasons, dealing with some injuries, being traded multiple times, unable to fully adapt to the squads. His last experience was playing in DC, where he stayed for two seasos, averaging 7.4 points in 2022-23 season and 4.1 points in the current one.
