The
Sacramento Kings forward
Domantas Sabonis has registered
another milestone in the match against the
Orlando Magic.
The 27-year-old was the star performer for the franchise on
the night as he registered 21 points to go with 14 rebounds and eight assists.
While doing so, he has now equalled Kevin Love’s record for the most consecutive
double-doubles he registered in the 1976-77 season.
It was the 53rd consecutive fixture where Sabonis
managed to register a double-digit tally in at least two out of the five categories.
The last time he missed out on such an opportunity was back
in November against the Los Angeles Clippers where he registered just 11 points
to go with five rebounds and three assists.
The Kings went on to register a much-needed win against the
Magic side with a score of 109-107 at the Kia Center in Orlando.
The win was an important one for the Kings as it put them in
the seventh position in the Western Conference table with 41 wins and 29
defeats. On the other hand, the defeat means that the Magic will stay in the
fifth position in the Eastern Conference table with 42 wins and 29 defeats.
Sabonis, in this campaign, has registered 20 points, 8.3
assists and 0.9 steals per game. That’s not it as he also registered 13.7
rebounds per game which is the best by any player in the division.
