Draymond Green shared in his podcast some insights about his future and his team's. According to Shams Charania;
Golden State Warriors General Manager Mike Dunleavy could be considering trading him or
Klay Thompson before February 8th.
The trio of Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and
Stephen Curry could have their days numbered. 4 championships, the 73-win season and even being the trio with the most victories in the Finals (19) are some of their accomplishments. But it seems that this success story may be coming to an end.
During the current season, the Warriors currently have a negative record, 18-22. Free of injury problems, Golden State has no excuses. Their roster is loaded with sky-high contracts and the results just aren't coming.
In this regard, Green commented on his podcast "The Draymond Green Show" as follows:
"If that [trade] ever came to fruition, you deal with that, you cross that bridge when you get there," Green said. "It’s not really something that I worry about … I mean, if you’re 18-22, how can you question anything someone does? We’ve had the opportunity to get out there and play, and prove ourselves as a team."
The Dubs haven't made any big moves at this time of year, in part because of how dominant they've been.
"We’ve never really been an active team at the trade deadline. However, we also have a new GM, and Mike has been incredible. He could be different to Bob [Myers], he could be more aggressive at the trade deadline. I don’t know, I don’t really have a feel for it. Would be I shocked if some trades happen? No – we are 18 and 22, and if I'm not mistaken, with the highest payroll in the league."
Steve Kerr has a lot to figure out, and he may have to work with some new players, while seeing old familiar faces depart before the end of the season.
