The
Milwaukee Bucks head coach
Doc Rivers is still optimistic
that things can ‘turn around’ for veteran forward
Khris Middleton after
suffering another injury in the match against the New York Knicks.
The 32-year-old was forced to leave the court after playing
just 13 minutes in the match on Sunday following a hit on his mouth.
Rivers, while talking to the media after the match, heaped
praise on the attitude of Middleton and stated that he is having a ‘tough’
season.
"Khris was great to begin the game, he was absolutely
fantastic,” he said. “You just feel bad for him. The guy just can't catch a
break, you know? I mean, what's the odds. You go into a game, OK, tonight it'll
be my tooth getting knocked out.
"He's having one of those seasons right now. But that's
OK because it can all turn around for him. I thought he came with great spirit
tonight, too. Just tough luck."
The Bucks went on to suffer another defeat, their fourth in a row,
against the Knicks with a score of 122-109 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
Middleton, who has played just 51 games this season and missed
the rest because of fitness concerns, ended up contributing five points to go
with four rebounds and two assists on Sunday.
