Milwaukee Bucks' new signing
Patrick Beverley has stated that
he expects everyone to keep a high standard after starring on his debut for the
franchise.
The 35-year-old, who plays as a point guard, recently moved
from the Philadelphia 76ers. He made his debut against the
Charlotte Hornets where
he ended up scoring six points in just 12 minutes on the court.
Talking after the match, Beverley was pleased with
his performance in his debut match for the Bucks and stated that he expects all
his teammates to keep a high standard for the rest of the season.
"The way I go about things, I'm not going to make
everyone happy," he said. "I'm going to upset some people. I hold
myself to a high standard and I expect everyone else to do the same.
"My approach is very strong until you get to know me.
But once you get to know me you understand, the only thing he does is want to
win."
His new teammate
Damian Lillard was also full of praise for Beverley
and stated that he brings edge and experience to the Bucks side.
"He brought energy, he brought edge and just
experience," he said. "There were times where he just kind of
directed some actions offensively ... defensively in the huddle, he knows who
he is, he knows what he brings to a team and he's not shy about it. You heard
his voice the moment he walked in."
