The
Los Angeles Lakers star forward
LeBron James keeps
getting better with age and he proved it once again on Sunday during the match against
the
Brooklyn Nets.
The 39-year-old helped the side in securing an important win
with a score of 116-104 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. He registered 40
points to go with seven rebounds and five assists.
A video circulated on social media suggested that the Nets
fans sang "You Are My Sunshine" to James after his historic performance
on the night.
However, after investigation, it became clear that the video
was fake and the original video proves that the Nets fans only gave the legendary
star a standing ovation.
James was once again instrumental for the Lakers in their most
recent win against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday where he registered 23 points
to go with four rebounds and nine assists.
The Lakers came out on top in the contest on Tuesday with a
score of 128-111 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The win kept Darvin Ham’s
men ninth on the Western Conference table with 43 wins and 33 defeats.
James is having a fabulous season on a personal level as he
has been contributing 25.4 points per game which is the best by any Lakers player
in the ongoing campaign. To go with that, he has also contributed 7.3 rebounds
and 8.1 assists per game.
