The
Oklahoma City Thunder's young shooting guard
Josh Giddey
has been in the news for an interesting reason. The 21-year-old is often regarded
as one of the most highly-rated young players currently playing in the
competition.
A post on social media platform X — previously known as
Twitter — claimed that Giddey has stated that he would rather watch March
Madness than the NBA.
That post went viral and fans passed different remarks about
it. However, upon checking, it became clear that the post was shared from a parody
account and that Giddey had never said anything like that.
The Melbourne-born is having a more than decent time for the
Thunder this season where he is contributing 11.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.5
assists per game. In his most recent outing against the Milwaukee Bucks, he
registered 19 points to go with nine rebounds and eight assists.
His most impressive outing this season came in the match
against the Toronto Raptors back in February where he registered 24 points to
go with six rebounds and six assists.
The Thunder are going through an impressive campaign where they
are placed in the second position in the Western Conference with 49 wins and
just 21 defeats.
