Altercation Between Jabari Smith and
Kris Dunn grabbed the
headlines as the
Houston Rockets defeated the
Utah Jazz in an important clash on
Saturday.
The altercation took place in the second quarter as the
officials tried to stop it but it escalated even further. After the incident,
both players were handed technical fouls and both were ejected from the court
as well.
Dunn was later quoted in a report where he admitted his
mistake and stated that he would accept whatever punishment came his way.
"[We] exchanged a couple words, a couple pushes and the
next thing you know, we're ejected," he said. "For me, I take
responsibility for my actions and whatever the league decides for me, I have to
respect that.”
Rockets ended up on the winning side with a score of 147-119
at the Toyota Center in Houston. It was their eighth win in a row and now they
are edging closer to 10th-placed Golden State Warriors in the
Western Conference.
As things stand, the Rockets are placed outside the playoffs spot
with 35 wins and 35 defeats this season. On the other hand, the Warriors are placed
on the 10th spot with 36 wins and 33 defeats.
