Continuing with our top free agents by position, now its the turn of the power forwards. Perhaps this position is the less loaded in terms of talents becoming free agents next summer. However there are several names that any team would like to sign, so enjoy our list!
Pascal Siakam, the recently added star from the Indiana Pacers is the most relevant player on the list. However, Tobias Harris has been playing really well for the Sixers, Obbi Toppin also appears in this list, and Chicago Bulls' Patrick Williams could be taking his talents elsewhere this off season. Let's break it down:
1 Pascal Siakam
Pascal Siakam was one of the blockbuster trades of the season, going from Toronto where he won the 2019 ring, to the Pacers. In 15 games with the Pacers, the team is 7-8 and Siakam is averaging 21.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. He could go for a deal worth somewhere in the $40-$45 million, Indiana wants to keep him but the Warriors and the Mavericks could go after him as well.
2 Tobias Harris
Harris has improved this season, averaging 17.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game in 48 games. He could be signing a contract worthy of around $20 million per year, but not with the Sixers. Philadelphia is going to secure Tyrese Maxey so teams like the Hawks, Spurs, and Grizzlies would be great fits for him.
3 Obbi Toppin
Obi Toppin was dealt to the Indiana Pacers this offseason to play under a $6.8 million team option, averaging a career-high 10.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He's most likely trying to sign a new deal with Indiana, around $10 million per year is what he could be worth.
4 Patrick Williams
Through 43 games played so far in 2023-24, Williams is averaging 10.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game on 44.3% shooting, in a Bulls team plagued with injuries. Chicago will likely match any lower-end offers in the $10-$12 million range but anything significantly higher will likely mean the end of the Patrick Williams era in windy city.
5 Kyle Anderson
With his deal expiring this summer, Anderson hits the market currently averaging 6.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. While he's been a valuable defender for the Timberwolves, Minnesota could offer him a less expensive contract, to afford the other superstars deals. Nevertheless, it's very likely that Kyle will sign that and remain with the successful Wolves.
6 Haywood Highsmith
Highsmith has found a role with this Heat team, averaging 5.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game, all career-highs. The Heat could bring back Haywood Highsmith for around $4 million to $7 million annually, but if he receives bigger offers, he might end up in another franchise.
7 Jeff Green
Green’s future is going to be decided by the Houston Rockets this summer when they likely decline his $8 million team option for 2024-25. It looks like Jeff will be going to a new team, maybe signing a one-year contract for about $4 million.
8 Kevin Love
Love’s production has been a surprise for Miami's second unit but has not helped their standing at 30-25 and seventh in the Eastern Conference at the All-Star break. Where things stand right now, Love is a lock to opt into his $4 million deal to stay in Miami.
9 PJ Tucker
Tucker's recent issues with the LA Clippers remain unsolved, he's clearly frustrated with his role there. PJ has an $11.5 million player option for next season, so given that amount of money perhaps he will opt for it and the Clippers end up trading him.
10 Nicolas Batum
Another big man from the Sixers squad. He is currently averaging 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. Batum is likely heading towards signing a veteran's minimum for a contender, if he doesn't stay in Philadelphia, maybe the Suns or the Celtics could try to land him.
