Golden State Warriors veteran power forward
Draymond Green has
some words of advice for the
San Antonio Spurs' young centre
Victor Wembanyama.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the most highly-rated
players currently playing in the competition. Green was recently quoted in a
report where he advised Wembanyama to not try and do so much which can put him
in the way of his teammates.
"He (Victor Wembanyama) is a special talent,” he said. “But
I think it's going to be important for him to figure out what it is that ... he
can almost do too much. And it could get in the way of his teammates because he
starts to float and you don't necessarily know where your place is on the
court."
Wembanyama is having a fabulous season on a personal level
where he is averaging 20.5 points and 10 rebounds per game, which is the best
by any Spurs player. That’s not it as he is also contributing 3.2 assists per
game.
Those numbers become more impressive considering that the Spurs
are going through a horrible campaign where they are placed in the fifth position
in the Southwest Division with just 11 wins and 44 defeats.
