A Pacific Division matchup on primetime TV did not disappoint. Superstars were all over the floor and tonight, it was the greatest shooter ever who stole the show.
Stephen Curry put up a masterclass to help lead the
Golden State Warriors to an unbelievable 113-112 victory over the
Phoenix Suns at the Chase Center.
The Warriors didn't make any significant trades at the deadline, as they decided to stick with their core and let them finish the season together. That may have been the right move, as Golden State won 6 of their last 7 games.
The 2-time MVP played phenomenal, scoring 30 points and hitting 9 three pointers, including the game winning 3 with 0.7 seconds remaining. On a sideline out of bounds play, Curry caught the ball, spun around, and hit a deep 3 to win the game. The arena was roaring and Mike Breen, who was calling the game, did his iconic "Bang" call.
Jonathan Kuminga finished with 21 points while Draymond Green had 15 points. Klay Thompson struggled tonight, only scoring 5 points on 2/10 shooting.
For the Suns,
Devin Booker led the way with 32 points.
Kevin Durant had 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists against his former team. Bradley Beal scored 15 points on 7/16 shooting. Newly acquired Royce O'Neale made his debut tonight and he had 3 points in his 11 minutes of play.
