The Cavs are 17-1 over the last 18 games. Nobody else has more than 14 wins in that stretch.
Despite dealing with injuries to key players for majority of the season, the Cavs are still having a dominant season. With 4 All-Star caliber players, anyone is capable of taking over on any given night. Tonight, Jarrett Allen led the way as he helped the Cleveland Cavaliers easily defeat the Toronto Raptors 119-95 at Scotiabank Arena.
The team from Ohio didn't make any trades this deadline, but maybe they didn't need to. They are on a hot streak, currently winning 17 of their last 18 games and sitting safely at the 2 seed in the East.
Allen dominated tonight, finishing with 18 points and 15 rebounds on 75% shooting. Fellow frontcourt mate Evan Mobley had 17 points and 11 rebounds. Superstar Donovan Mitchell scored 15 points and point guard Darius Garland ended with 11 points. Max Strus rounded out the starting unit with 14 points.
The Cavs bench did their part too. Caris Levert and Georges Niang each contributed 13 points while Isaac Okoro scored 12 points.
Scottie Barnes had a dominant performance but it wasn't enough. He had a triple double, recording 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. RJ Barrett finished with 14 points while Immanuel Quickley scored 10 points.
Rookie Gradey Dick ended with 14 points off the bench. It was the debut for the players acquired in the Utah Jazz trade. Kelly Olynyk had 11 points while Ochai Agbaji finished with 8 points.
