The
New York Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau has revealed
that star forward
OG Anunoby is ‘fine’ after concerns about an elbow injury in
the match against the
Portland Trail Blazers.
The 26-year-old recently returned after having surgery on
his elbow. During the most recent match against the Trail Blazers, he was seen holding
his elbow a couple of times which caused concern about his fitness.
After the match, Thibodeau talked to the media where he
confirmed that the star forward was ‘fine’ and that it had more to do with soreness.
“There’s going to be soreness. He played through it,” he
said. “He’s fine. Stuff like that is going to happen."
The game ended with the Knicks winning the contest with a
score of 105-93 at the Moda Center in Portland on Thursday.
The result left the side in fourth place in the Eastern
Conference with 39 wins and 27 defeats. On the other hand, the Trail Blazers
remain out of the playoff spots with 19 wins and 47 defeats.
Anunoby had a decent day for the winning team as he
registered 12 points to go with nine rebounds and two assists. The star of the
show for the Knicks was the point guard Jalen Brunson who registered 45 points
to go with one rebound and four assists.
