Luka Doncic has his 4th straight game with a 35-point triple-double, that is the longest streak in NBA history.
Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd has heaped praise on star forward Luka Doncic after another incredible performance.
The 25-year-old had another fabulous night, this time against the Miami Heat where he registered 35 points to go with 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
While doing so, Doncic became the first player in the history of the NBA to register 35 or more points in four consecutive matches.
After the match, head coach Kidd heaped praise on the Ljubljana-born, who according to him is as rare of a talent as Pablo Picasso
“I’ve always said this, we can’t take this young man for granted. You’re seeing something as rare as a Picasso,” said the 50-year-old. “When he comes every night, he does something. … He’s special.”
That performance helped the Mavericks secure a much-needed win over the Heat with a score of 114-108 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Thursday.
It was the Mavericks’ first defeat after three consecutive defeats and it kept the side in the eighth position in the Western Conference with 35 wins and 28 defeats.
Doncic is averaging 34.6 points per game this season for the Mavericks, the best by any player in the competition. To go with that, he is also contributing nine rebounds and 9.8 assists per game.
