Fans on social media criticised
Milwaukee Bucks'
newly-appointed head coach
Doc Rivers after another defeat in his tenure.
The 62-year-old joined the franchise after the former head
coach Adrian Griffin was surprisingly sacked despite the team’s impressive
performances under his short reign.
Bucks suffered a defeat in the recent encounter against the Portland
Trail Blazers with a score of 119-116 at the Moda Center on Wednesday.
It was the second consecutive defeat under Rivers coaching
which did not leave the fans impressed who criticised him on the social
media platform X — previously known as Twitter.
It will be interesting to see whether the Bucks can make a comeback in their next match against the Dallas Mavericks American
Airlines Center on Saturday.
Rivers is an experienced coach and has already worked with
four different franchises before joining the Bucks. He worked with the Orlando Magic
from 1999 to 2003, the Boston Celtics from 2004 to 2013, the Los Angeles Clippers from
2013-2020 and the Philadelphia 76ers
from 2020 to 2023.
He led the Celtics to an NBA title where they defeated the Los
Angeles Lakers in the best-of-seven finals with a score of 4-2. He also won the
NBA Coach of the Year award in the year 2000.
