Trade Deadline:
Golden State Warriors are reportedly not interested in
parting ways with two of their key players before the end of the transfer
window.
The ongoing transfer window will come to an end on February
08 as teams are now pushing to make their final moves to strengthen their
squads for the rest of the campaign.
It was earlier reported that the Warriors are open for a
trade of shooting guard
Klay Thompson and power forward
Draymond Green before
February 08.
However, as per ESPN transfer insider Brian Windhorst, the
Warriors have ‘no interest’ in trading any of those players. The news is an
interesting one considering Thompson is in the final year of his contract and
he will be leaving the franchise as a free agent in the summer.
In the previous fixture against the Las Angeles Lakers, Thompson
ended up registering 24 points including four rebounds and four assists. This
season, he is averaging 17.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
On the other hand,
Green had an average day in his previous outing against the Philadelphia 76ers
where he managed to register just nine points to go with six rebounds and six
assists. He is averaging 9.3 points, six rebounds and 6.1 assists per game this
season.
