Dallas Mavericks point guard
Kyrie Irving’s loyalty towards his
franchise has been questioned by the fans on social media.
The 31-year-old has been sidelined recently for a few weeks
at least after suffering an injury. However, he has not stayed out of the news,
largely because of being spotted chatting with
Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee
Bucks.
Fans on the social media platform X — previously known as
Twitter — criticised Irving for having no competitive attitude.
This is not the first time when Irving’s loyalty towards a
team in the NBA has been questioned by the fans on social media.
In that match, the Mavericks ended up on the losing side with a
score of 129-117 at the American Airlines Center on Saturday. The star of the show
for the winning team was power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo who registered a whopping
48 points to go with six rebounds and 10 assists.
Irving is having an impressive season on the court as he is
averaging 25.2 points per game which is the second-best by a Mavericks player, only
behind Luka Doncic.
His best outing this season came in the match against the
New York Knicks where he registered 44 points to go with four rebounds and 10
assists.
