The
Golden State Warriors’
Draymond Green has stated that it
would be ‘dope’ to have the likes of
LeBron James and
Stephen Curry playing
together.
There have been reports that the Warriors tried to sign James
in the recently concluded mid-season transfer window but failed in their attempt.
Recently, in another report, it was claimed that the Warriors will make another
attempt to sign James in the summer.
Green was recently quoted in a report where he stated it would
be ‘dope’ to have the likes of the 39-year-old playing alongside Curry who is
often regarded as the best player in the competition.
“I think it would be dope but it ain't happening,” he said. “The
deadline was cool, just to have a couple of conversations about it, like to
entertain the thought of that, it was cool to have a conversation. Because you
could never even fathom that the conversation would happen.
“Locker room wise, I think you have mature individuals that
understand each other because we are all the same, an appreciation for where we
are in our space, like-minded individuals. “How does it work? We’re all secure
in who we are and so I think that works no problem.”
James has been going through an impressive season for the
Lakers where he is contributing 25.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 7.9 assists per
game. On the other hand, Curry has been a star performer for the Warriors as he
is contributing 27.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and five assists per game.
