James Harden is enjoying his time with Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and the rest of the Los Angeles Clippers as the team packed another victory on Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Clippers have won 8 of their last 10 games, confirming their status as a powerhouse in the Western Conference.
The NBA is seeing the results of this newly-assembled trio of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and James Harden. When on court together, they are crushing their rivals by a 124 points margin, in 630 minutes played.
Harden stated that he's "at home" and feels very optimistic towards future negotiations with the organization. The former MVP said that there's a chance that the Clippers might be the last team he plays with.
Since his arrival to LA, and after a bumpy start, currently sits on a 23-7 record. Averaging 17.0 points, 8.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds.
"Things are going well and I’m happy," James said. "We have an opportunity. I want to be able to keep the core together for a few years and I haven’t had those opportunities the last few years"
Kawhi Leonard already signed a three-year extension with the Clippers, and declared about the future of the team: "With me signing an extension, I think it gives us a chance to sign both of those players". "With the conversation that I have with them about [their futures], I think for the most part everybody is coming back"
Paul George remains eligible for a contract extension as well. Tho the contract isn't signed yet, the player and the organization share the desire of remain together, as George declared feeling "very,very optimistic" about closing a new deal with the franchise.
