The
Phoenix Suns star forward
Kevin Durant believes that his
team is going into the business end of the season in a good ‘rhythm’.
The Suns, who have won four of their last six matches, are
currently placed on the seventh spot in the Western Conference table with 39
wins and 28 defeats. They are within touching distance of the sixth-placed Sacramento
Kings who have won 38 matches and suffered 27 defeats in the process.
Durant, while talking to the media, stated that Suns players
were aware that they had to be in good rhythm towards the end of the season and
that’s exactly what they are doing.
“Just wanna play good ball going into the postseason,” said
the 35-year-old. “We all wanna be in rhythm and the flow of the game and I
think that’s what we’re doing now. Playing against great teams makes you better.”
Durant, who is often regarded as one of the greatest
point-scorers in the history of the NBA, is having another fabulous season for the
Suns where he is producing 28.3 points per game which is the fourth-best in the
competition.
To go with that, the two-time NBA champion is also
contributing 6.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.9 steals per game.
