Seeing Doncic do this will never, I repeat never, get old.
Last night, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks went to LA, for a match against Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypto.com arena. Lebron James and his squad stunned early in the game and prove to be too much this time for the Mavs. Very important win for the Lakers, 127-110, as they are now sitting on a 21-21 record this season.
Luka Doncic wasn't enough yesterday, as Lebron James and Anthony Davis started the game playing wonderfully. The King ended up with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists with great field goal percentage.
Anthony Davis continues reafirming that he's playing better than ever, and took advantage of the Mavs lack of bigs, doing whatever he wanted all game long. AD finished with 28 points on an astonishing 70.6 form the field. But that was not all, as the "Brow" grabbed 12 rebounds and dished 9 assists.
“He’s been working on it and it’s great. Teams are going to stop doubling him soon. As long as we make shots out there for him. It's our job to make sure we are in the right position at the right time when he gets doubled," James praised his teammate passing.
The Mavericks stayed close on the scoreboard, and Luka did everything he could to prevent his team's defeat, on his first game back from injury. The slovenian had yet another 30 point triple-double (33 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists), reaching the All-time leader in this category, who else but LeBron James.
The game was decided by the 3rd quarter, when the Lakers started a 27-8 run that in 5 minutes, left the Mavericks without chances.
D'Angelo Russell was again the Lakers leader in scoring, dropping 29 points. 10 of them were on that 3rd quarter run, confirming that being in trade rumours elevates his game.
Kyrie Irving couldn't maintain his previous perfomances, finishing with only 12 points.
Doncic and James share some characteristics on the field. They both are big framed "guards", they both like to pass the ball and they both could score the basket anytime they want.
Being compared to LeBron is an accolade by itself, but the Wonder Boy is going a step further, tying the King's record while being only 24 years old.
