After almost a month and a half since his last game played, Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks' small forward, is ready to comeback to action this Sunday, when his team will be facing Phoenix Suns.
Great news for Milwaukee Bucks, Khris Middleton, pivotal in their championship run back in 2021, is cleared to return to play with his team. He's expected to have some minutes tomorrow during a crucial matchup against Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and Devin Booker's Phoenix Suns, at the Fi-serv Forum in Milwaukee.
Middleton has been recovering from a sprained ankle in a game also against tomorrow's opponents, the Phoenix Suns. Since then, Milwaukee has played 16 games, winning ten of them, currently holding the 2nd spot in the Eastern Conference, 9 games away of the NBA and Conference leaders Boston Celtics.
Khris also missed several games prior to that ankle injury. He's been plagued by physical problems since the 2021 title. In 2022 and 2023 he was dealing with different health issues that kept him aside, preventing him from helping Giannis Antetokounmpo and the rest of the team to go on and try to win another ring.
This situation was key in Milwaukee's blockbuster trade this summer when they brought in superstar Damian Lillard to Wisconsin. Dame was expected to be the scorer that Middleton was 3 years ago.
The veteran wingman was a smooth solid scorer for the team, with great efficiency shooting from mid range and also from long distance. In 43 games played this season, Middleton averages 14.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists, shooting 48.7% from the field and nearly 38% from three.
If the 32-year-old player can return to his full form, the Milwaukee Bucks will become even a greater threat to Boston Celtics' aspirations in the upcoming playoffs.
