Milwaukee Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin has heaped praise
on star player
Damian Lillard after his impressive performance in the win against
Detroit Pistons.
The 33-year-old, who plays as a guard for the franchise, registered 45 points including six rebounds and 11 assists to help the
Bucks secure a win against the Pistons with a score of 141-135 on Saturday.
After the match, Griffin was full of praise for Lillard who
became the first player in the Bucks history to register 40 or more points with
10 or more assists and five or more three pointers in a single match.
"Dame was so great tonight,” he said. “He was competing
on both sides of the ball. I had no idea he had 45, but he's a rhythm player
and he definitely got into a rhythm out there. He made big shots, and that's
why he's on this team.”
Griffin was also quoted in a report where he talked about how
he prepared for the match where he was just head and shoulders above the rest.
“I had a good warmup and I got a couple shots to go in, so I
felt good,” he said. “I knew it was an important game, so I picked my spots. I
moved the ball when I needed to move the ball and I attacked when I needed to
attack.”
