The Denver Nuggets are still the reigning NBA champions and there singular goal is to win back-to-back Finals victories.
Like all other NBA teams, they are well aware of the upcoming trade deadline on February 8 but they might not make many moves.
In fact, a report from HoopsHype says that the Nuggets might not do anything at all, instead focusing on the youthful group of players who are laying the foundation for a bright future in Denver.
Second-year players Peyton Watson and Christian Braun are considered bright spots of the team and have been getting more minutes lately.
The plan is to allegedly use them more often in the weeks ahead so that veteran players, such as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Aaron Gordon, can get more rest and be prepared for the long postseason.
The team would be happy to get Bruce Brown back from the Toronto Raptors, but it doesn't seem like they will move enough money around so that they have the right amount for his salary.
Instead, it seems that they will likely bypass the upcoming trade deadline and just stick with the roster they have. That makes a lot of sense because this is the lineup that earned the team its first championship last summer.
