Bad news for the
Milwaukee Bucks. Today their 2nd unit point guard and defensive specialist
Patrick Beverley shared on his podcast 'The Pat Bev Pod' that he's been dealing with a torn ligament in his wrist for a while.
With the NBA regular season coming to an end, the Milwaukee Bucks recovered recently one of their main pieces in Khris Middleton. With
Giannis Antetokounmpo and
Damian Lillard, these three players carry the offensive weight of the team.
Defensively, they have big size to provide rim protection with Bobby Portis, Giannis and
Brook Lopez. However, their perimeter defense took a shot when they traded Jrue Holiday to Boston.
That's why they went out and brought Patrick Beverley in the mix. A veteran player who sparks the team with the amazing energy he puts on the defensive side of the floor. With his addition, Milwaukee tried to cover Lillard's back. Dame is an elite scorer but he's never been known for his defensive skills.
Bev shared on his podcasts the following:
"I got to get me a championship this year. Straight up, I have to, I have to. Put some spit, put some dirt on it, story's not over. I got work to do. And I don't wanna hear none of that sorry s**t either. No fu***in excuses. Go get it done Pat. Let's beat the odds."
Despite Beverley stating that he'll continue to play through his injury moving forward, hopefully he can be recovered for the beginning of the playoffs. The Bucks will need him for sure.
