The NBA has announce the schedule for the two postponed
games of the
Golden State Warriors.
The games were postponed after the sudden and tragic demise of
the Warriors’ assistant coach
Dejan Milojevic. He suffered a heart attack at
a private dinner with the team on January 16.
As per a post on the social media platform X — previously known
as Twitter — the NBA announced that the Warriors match against the Utah Jazz, originally scheduled to be organised on January 17, will now take place on
February 15.
Their match against the Dallas Mavericks, originally scheduled for January 19th, will now be played on
April 02. The NBA also announced that two more matches have been rescheduled to accommodate these matches.
On their first match back, Warriors coach Steve Kerr paid
tribute to his former assistant whom he called a ‘beautiful soul’.
“The world lost a beautiful soul last week,” he said. “Deki
was a wonderful friend, a hell of a basketball coach, a great man and most
importantly, a beautiful grandson, son, husband and father. The mark that he’s
left on our organization the last three years … that was him every day. The
smile, the joy, the laughter, it was ever present. What he meant to us was a
huge part of who we are. He’s a part of our soul.”
