Rumors:
Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly exploring the possibility
of adding
Bronny James (he will be elegible in the next
NBA Draft) to keep small forward
LeBron James happy at the franchise.
The 39-year-old’s future has been a point of discussion in
the world of NBA where it was reported by numerous sources that he might end up
leaving the franchise in the recently concluded mid-season transfer window.
However, James ended up staying with the franchise at least
till the summer when the transfer window will re-open.
As per the latest report by the Athletic reporters Sam
Amick, Anthony Slater and Jovan Buha, the Lakers are now exploring the possibility
of signing LeBron’s son Bronny to keep him happy at the franchise.
“The Lakers, per the high-ranking team source, are also
willing to explore the notion of adding Bronny James next season. This stance,
the source said, is rooted in the reality that James’ happiness truly matters
to the organization,” the report said.
It is an open secret that LeBron is very keen to play alongside
his son in the NBA before retiring from the sport. If that happens, they
will become the first father-son duo to achieve that feat in the competition.
Bronny, who is currently playing for the USC Trojans Guard, is
expected to be involved in the NBA draft for the next season. On the other
hand, LeBron is having another fabulous season for the Lakers where he is
averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game.
