New York Knicks power forward
Julius Randle is reportedly
edging closer to full fitness. The 29-year-old suffered a shoulder dislocation earlier
in the season.
Many, at the time of an injury, feared that Randle would not going
to take any further part this season. However, as per NBA reporter Ian Begley,
the Dallas-born is going through positive rehabilitation and the chances are
high that he will return to action sometime this season.
“I’ve heard during this period that there’s been some
positive progression here during the rehab and I think that’s left people with
even more reason to be optimistic that Randle will be back at some point this
season,” he said. The news will be a big boost for the Knicks who would’ve missed the presence of their star players.
Randle was influential for the Knicks as he ended up
registering 24 points, 9.2 rebounds and five assists per game. In his last
outing against the Miami Heat, he registered 19 points to go with nine rebounds
and three assists.
His best outing this season came in the match against
Milwaukee Bucks back in December where he registered 41 points to go with six
rebounds and five assists.
