Los Angeles Clippers power forward P. J. Tucker has revealed
that he wants his franchise to free him but they are reluctant to do so.
The 38-year-old’s future has been up for debate for a long
time after not getting enough minutes on the court.
Tucker was recently quoted in a report where he stated that
is willing to join a team where he will have a bigger contribution to make and
also reiterated that a potential buyout is ‘not on the table’.
“Nah. That’s [potential buyout] not on the table,” he said. “I
feel like I still got a lot to contribute to a team to be able to win, whether
that's here or somewhere else. I know myself, my worth. I know what I bring.
“I know what I've brought. I know what I can continue to
bring. And with that, I want to be able to go to a good team that I can be able
to help that.
“Coming here, you try to figure out the best way possible to
be able to do what you do. But, you know, like I said, sometimes you see it and
it ain't there. Sometimes you see it, but the team doesn't see it the way you
see it.”
Tucker has only played in 15 matches this season for the
Clippers where he is averaging 1.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.5 assists per
game.
