The
Philadelphia 76ers played against the
New Orleans Pelicans. Despite their efforts, the Sixers were outplayed by a better Pelicans team, losing the game 103-95.
Paul Reed, Sixers' big man carried his team offense, finishing with a double-double. After the game, Reed shared his thoughts about the team's present and had some words about the NBA's officiating.
Despite a remarkable effort by Paul Reed, who stood out with 17 points and 11 rebounds, the Sixers were unable to come back. Reed, in his post-game remarks, emphasized the need for a better start in upcoming games to avoid early deficits and thus have the opportunity to compete in a more balanced manner.
"As a player, you can only control what you can control," Reed said. "We can't dictate what the whole team does. For us, we just have to follow the head coach's lead and try to execute the game plan as best we can. We have to avoid these slow starts and make sure we start with more energy and focus."
Reed also noted the importance of staying focused throughout the game and not being affected by refereeing decisions. "Just knowing that, you know, the referees are going to be the referees and we're going to have to beat them too, you know?" said Reed. "So we have to be prepared for that beforehand."
On the other hand, it is worth mentioning that there was a controversial play in the last quarter, where a referee's decision that favored the Pelicans was questioned, this could have changed the course of the game.
With this loss, the 76ers prepare to begin a three-game road trip away from home, starting with a matchup against the New York Knicks next Sunday, looking to get back on the winning track and improve their position in the NBA standings.
