Trade Deadline: Young point guard
Killian Hayes has reportedly demanded to
be trade from
Detroit Pistons before the end of the transfer window.
The mid-season transfer window is coming to a close on
Thursday as teams are now preparing for one final push to strengthen the squads
for the remainder of the season.
As per the latest
rumors, Hayes’ camp has informed the
Pistons management that the player would want to be traded before the transfer
deadline.
The report shocked the fans on social media platform X — previously
known as Twitter —who posted some interesting comments about the development. One
user on the platform went on to write that may be Pistons mascot demanded to be transferred as well.
The news is a surprising one because the 22-year-old has not
set the world alight while playing for the Pistons this season. He is averaging
just 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game which is no way near
good enough considering the quality on display in the NBA.
He has not managed to register more than 10 points in a
single game since December 9th when he netted 16 points to go with
seven rebounds and four assists against the Orlando Magic. Hayes’ best outing
this season came in the match against the New York Knick where he registered 23
points to go with three rebounds and four assists.
