Zach LaVine has done a lot for the
Chicago Bulls during his seven seasons with the league and has transformed into one of the most important players on the roster. He has averaged 24.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists as a Bull.
But despite that, his time playing in the Windy City might be coming to an end very soon.
NBC Sports is reporting that the Bulls will attempt to trade LaVine this offseason.
Back in January, it was announced that LaVine would miss the rest of the 2023-24 season due to an ankle injury and surgery. When that was announced, many analysts wondered if he had played his last game in Chicago.
Even though he is currently hurt, LaVine might still have a lot of value on the trade market. Just a few months ago, Chicago toyed with the idea of trading him and even communicated with the Detroit Pistons about a deal but one was never created and agreed upon.
LaVine still has three years and $138 million on the five-year contract he signed with the Bulls before the 2022-23 season. That means that any team who picks him up will be agreeing to a rather hefty salary. With that being said, he could add a lot of great value to a number of teams throughout the league.
This is a sign that the Bulls are contemplating some massive changes to their roster. LaVine has been a cornerstone of the franchise for years but now the Bulls are thinking of what life will be like without him.
