The
Golden State Warriors head coach
Steve Kerr has heaped
praise on young center
Trayce Jackson-Davis.
The 24-year-old was influential for the Warriors as they registered
a much-needed win against the San Antonio Spurs with a score of 112-102 at the Frost
Bank Center in San Antonio.
Kerr, after the match, heaped praise on the youngster who
according to him was ‘incredible’ on the night for the winning team.
“He [Jackson-Davis] was incredible tonight at both ends,” said
Kerr. “His paint presence, rim presence, 11 boards, also had five assists.
Obviously, the great dunk near the end. Trayce is really giving us a different
dynamic from that spot, and it's really fun to see him growing and developing.”
Not only the head coach but Jackson-Davis’ teammate and
veteran point guard
Chris Paul was also full of praise for the youngster, who according
to him has become a ‘huge element’ of the team.
“Trayce ... man,” he said. “Trayce such a huge element to
our team because we have so much shooting and ball movement. But his ability to
play above the rim unlocks everything for me, too.”
Jackson-Davis ended up registering 13 points to go with 10
rebounds and five assists for the winning team, including a sublime dunk over Spurs
star Victor Wembanyama.
