Dallas Mavericks are reportedly interested in signing
Detroit Pistons star
defender
Isaiah Stewart to bolster their side. The ongoing transfer window in the NBA is set to conclude on
February 3, 2024, as teams are now pushing to get some deals done.
Mavericks are reportedly keen about signing Stewart in the ongoing
transfer window to bolster their side for the remainder of the season. The move
makes a lot of sense considering the age of the player who still has his best
years to come.
There have also been reports that Mavericks are interested in
signing Washington Wizards’ Daniel Gafford suggesting that Stewart might well
be on his way out of the franchise.
The 22-year-old is having a decent time on the court where
he is averaging 10.8 points per game with 6.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per
game. It is the second consecutive season where he is averaging more than 10
points per game.
Stewart’s best outing for the Pistons came against Brooklyn
Nets where he netted 20 points including five rebounds and five assists. In the
most recent match against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the New York-born ended up
registering 12 points in just 25 minutes on the court with the help of four rebounds
and two assists.
