The
Oklahoma City Thunder faced the
Sacramento Kings this Sunday, in an anticipated duel between two teams that could very well be playing each other in this upcoming playoffs.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and
Jalen Williams were unstoppable and despite Sabonis' efforts, OKC won 127-113.
Two games were scheduled for this Sunday, this one featured a Sacramento Kings team that were beginning a three road game trip and wanted to start with the right foot. On the other hand, the Thunder had a hard loss against a new Mavs team and wanted to bounce back from that loss.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues displaying excellent performances on a nightly bases, establishing himself as one of the runners-up to win the MVP. OKC is one of the best teams of this season despite being a young squad, and that's especially thanks to their All-Star player. SGA was very efficient and scored 38 points on almost 60% from the field and an absurd 75% from three, making 3 of 4 from long distance.
Jalen Williams was another standout, the second-year rookie has elevated his game this season, scoring the ball with fierce and collaborating with his team. 32 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the power-forward.
The Kings trailed the whole game and tried to make a push in the 4th but they were far in the scoreboard.
Domantas Sabonis registered another triple-double, 24 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds. It's still a mistery how he won't be a part of the All-Star team. Malik Monk added 26 points to Sacramento's cause. Tough match for D'Aaron Fox, who shot 35% from the field. finishing with only 15 points.
The Kings will be heading to Phoenix next Tuesday, the Thunder on the other hand, will be traveling to Florida for their match against the Orlando Magic, also on Tuesday.
