Shooting guard
Shake Milton is reportedly keen to sing with
the
New York Knicks after clearing waivers.
The 27-year-old recently agreed to a buyout with the Detroit
Pistons which makes him available as a free agent for the playoffs.
Therefore, as per the latest report, the Knicks are planning
to sign the player before the start of the playoffs. The report further stated
that the primary reason behind such a move was injuries to key players such as Og
Anunoby, Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson.
Milton had a turbulent season. He started with the Minnesota
Timberwolves where he was averaging just 4.7 points per game and was traded to
the Pistons last month where he made just a solitary appearance.
Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether the Oklahoma-born
will be able to reclaim his lost form and produce the goods for the Knicks at
the business end.
The Knicks are going through an impressive season where they
are placed in the fourth position in the Eastern Conference with 35 wins and 25
defeats.
In the most recent outing, the Knicks suffered a defeat to
the Golden State Warriors with a score of 110-99 at the Madison Square Garden
in New York on Thursday.
